Cammy's Birthday!

The night started with dinner at a modern french fine restaurant 'Comme', which I actually like the decor inside and the food. The only issue I had with this restaurant was that the service at Comme was not consistent as one of the waitresses was quite rude, and my beef was cooked more on the medium to well done side, even though I requested for medium rare.

Anyways, Cammy looked gorgeous with her new hair cut which included a long side fringe and a shaved section on the other side. Plus she wore a beautiful Gorman shift dress, which I secretly want to steal from her!

After dinner, we hanged out at The Rooftop Bar and had a few drinks. Cammy, the Birthday Girl was the only person who got drunk. She was quite a funny drunk.

It was an intimate Birthday celebration for Cammy which included seven people. I thought it was a great night. I hope Cammy thought so too.

Cammy, perhaps we should spend your Birthday overseas next year?

I love you my Best Friend in the whole wide world!

I hope your wish comes true.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAUTIFUL.

What a day....

It's been a pretty bad day for me, as I got news that my beautiful baby Stumpy (my new VW Beetle) was a write off by the insurance company.

For those who live in Melbourne I'm sure you'll remember the horrible storms that struck on Christmas day. The badly affected areas were mainly in the Western Suburbs which so happen to be where I live. On Christmas day I spent the morning at my mums house, we were having so much fun when hail the sizes of nectarines and apples were slamming onto the house and the cars parked out front. I did everything I could at the time to save my car, using blankets, pillows and everything I could possibly find and I even injured myself in the process. However all this was in vain since the damage was already done.

I've been pretty upset all day, but when I got home I saw a package waiting for me on my bed. When I opened it I realised my long awaited Anthropologie items were here!
I definitely needed a little pick me up from the bad news I heard today, this definitely did the trick!

Oh this and the massive tub of Boysenberry ice cream I got my boyfriend to go buy so that I can sulk and sook for the rest of the night in bed in front of the TV.

My Anthropoligie items!
The 'Artist' suitcase actually arrived earlier on its own but I didn't want to post a photo of it until the rest came in.

This is the Anthropologie vintage art suitcase. I absolutely fell in love with it when I saw it. The suitcase is made out of a tough tweed like material, white leather and red stitching. The inner compartments include paint brushes, paint, envelopes, a pencil case and erasers. There's also enough room for me to add my iPad and a visual diary. Perfect for a creative day in the park!

This is the hand knitted sweater with leaf embroidery at the front (don't know they did it but WOAW!). The wool is absolutely divine and I can't stop touching the softness as well as the leaf details on the front of the knit.

These are my suede ankle boots, the have a small heel and two tassels at the front. So comfortable and so cute! Featured here with my Anthropoligie suitcase and Lomo Diana camera.

You'll notice over time that I'm an addict when it comes to buying winter clothes, I'm the 'Bear' for a reason. Actually I'm more like a polar bear because I ABSOLUTELY LOVE WINTER! Don't ask me why, I just do. Personally I find winter beautiful and enchanting, not to mention the clothes are amazing and I also get to layer and wear my lovely coats.

Cammy's dream #1 - Go to Antarctica! I wonder if Amy will join me......
Cammy's dream #2 - See my favourite countries during their winter season.
Cammy's dream #3 - Have a white Christmas (hail is not accepted as a white christmas)
(BTW this is in no particular order)

So that's all from me today, just a little update on my horrible day and again how shopping always makes me feel better =D

Stay tuned for some more arrivals as I've recently purchased a few more things as well as my 'Cammy's dream' additions haha.

Bob, Flats and Macarons

Today I had a haircut, medium bob style and I love it!

Our Friendship rings: Bear and Rabbit silver rings by Karen Walker.

Cammy bought me the Rabbit ring for Christmas 2011 and she bought herself the Bear ring.

Cammy and I love flats because they are so chic and generally comfortable to walk in. We both want a pair of Repetto ballet flats one day, but for now we have to settle for flats we can afford.

Cammy in maroon flats and I'm in patent bright red flats.

For many years, Cammy and I regularly catch up for coffee sessions.

One of our favourite cafes is Brunetti, which we always manage to have coffee or San Pellegrino Rossa with a couple of macarons. Today we were both disappointed with Brunetti's macarons because the outer shell (cookie part) was extra crisp, in an unsatisfying way and it didn't tasted like macarons stored from two days ago.

I hope Brunetti don't slack off with their macaons next time I decide to drop by!

Yay to little packages

My little Mimco purchase just arrived!

I bought the Pallenberg Purse in Tumeric and the Liquid Glamour Bow Clip in Red. Coming home from a long day of work to a little package always makes me happier...

I also managed to find the Meiji chocolate mushroom cookies I've been looking for!!! I was completely addicted to these when I was in Korea and have been trying to look for them since with no luck. I spotted these yummy fellas as I walked into my favourite Asian Grocer, the only difference is that they're milk chocolate whereas the ones I bought from Korea were Cookies & Cream..... still YUMMO!

That's all from me for now...

Bear meets Rabbit

Hello Readers,

We would like to introduce you to our new blog titled 'Bear meets Rabbit.'

'Bear meets Rabbit' symbolises the friendship between two best friends, Cammy and Amy.

Cammy (Bear) and Amy (Rabbit) have been friends since teenagers. They shared many good and bad memories together. There were many many 'ups' and 'downs' over the years, yet they have managed to maintain a strong friendship.

Cammy and Amy are now two twenty-something year old ladies, yet they are young at heart. They both have office jobs, and share an interest in fashion, music, food, movies, photography and the city of Melbourne.

Cammy and Amy will always be Best Friends.

If you are interested in the journey of Cammy and Amy, then make sure to follow this blog in the future.

Happy New Year 2012!
